While stationed in Scotland in 1943, the Royal Air Force's No. 245 Squadron converted to Hawker Typhoons. Pilots quickly discovered that the Typhoon was especially adept at catching Focke-Wulf Fw 190s at low altitudes. By 1944, the squadron started to outfit their Typhoons with projectile rockets. No. 245 Squadron was disbanded in August of 1945. This limited edition kit features new large resin horizontal tail wing parts and new air intake filter parts.
